"I want to see camp foodservice operations running efficiently, safely, producing great food that guests love ... all while having fun doing it." Doug has a deep connection and commitment to summer camps and conference centers. As a lover of adventuring and the great outdoors, he spent his college summers as a camp counselor. It was during one of these summers, he met his wife Lisa and they've been married for over 23 years. Together they've raised 3 girls. Some of their best experiences and friends came from living and working at camps.
Doug has 20 plus years of working in restaurants, campus dining, camps and conference centers, but camp life always has his heart. His work experience includes foodservice director for River Valley Ranch on the east coast and Mount Hermon on the west coast, as well as director for a large foodservice company in campus dining. This diversity allows him to bring large foodservice processes with a personal camp touch. Doug views meals as a wonderful time of connecting and recharging for the next event.
